U11, 2022-2023 (Halton Hurricanes AAA)

Through blowing snow and icy roads, the U11 Halton Hurricanes arrived at the Barrie Challenge (Feb 3-5) to begin their weekend tournament against a familiar foe - the Markham Waxers.  The two teams had already faced off 3 times this season, including 19 days prior as the 'Canes battled to a 4-3 win in the semi- final game at the Taylor Hall Tournament.  This time however, the Halton side would leave no doubt as they stormed to a 6-1 lead through the first two periods on their way to a decisive 7-2 victory. 

As another Valentine's Day has come and gone, our Hurricane heroes entered Sherwood Arena this February 15th looking to heal their heartbreak against the Oakville Rangers following a triple overtime loss to this same team just 2 weeks ago.

Prospects by Sports Illustrated Power Rankings has listed our U11 team in the top 10 AAA/Elite North American teams for our age division.  Let's keep working hard team!

In their first tournament of the New Year, our U11 Halton Hurricanes travelled to Kingston Ontario for the Taylor Hall Invitational Classic.    Beginning on a snowy Friday the 13th, the team put together a perfect record with 6 wins and left as champions after 3 days of great hockey.

Sherwood arena was filled with Hurricanes fans from as far away as Red Deer, Alberta for a Wednesday night rematch of the Halton home opener.  After playing to a 1-1 draw in their first meeting with the Niagara North Stars, the teams were ready for a barn burner to close out the month of November.
