Two Wins on Tuesday & Wednesday
At the mid-way mark for the month of November, our Hurricane heros were set to storm through Hamilton before greeting the Guelph Gryphons at home the following evening.

24 hours later, the team walked away with 2 more W's - bringing their season total to an even 10 wins (plus 2 ties) in their first 13 games of league play.

Game 1: Tuesday November 15th vs the Hamilton Bulldogs

In the week's first game, the Bulldogs welcomed the 'Canes to the Tim Hortons  Mohawk Quad Arena.  Just 2.5 minutes into the game, the 'Dogs were awarded a power play thanks to a tripping call but failed to generate a shot on goal before returning to even strength.

4 minutes later, Halton's goalie got warmed up with a big save on a wrap-around passing play that led to a dangerous shot attempt in front of the net.  Half way through the first period, the Bulldogs found themselves on a second power play but a quick shot from the slot was quickly covered by the visiting goalkeeper.

With the clock ticking down and the Hurricanes on their first power play of the game, they opened the scoring to make it 1-0 ending the first period.

Carrying that momentum forward just 42 seconds into period two, Halton made it 2-0  on a goal from the Left Winger at the side of the net.  Less than 5 minutes later on a nice play to intercept a Hamilton pass in front of their own net, the Hurricanes would go up 3-0   The middle period closed on alternating power plays, with Halton defending a third successful penalty kill before skating with the man advantage themselves entering the third frame.

With just over 10 minutes remaining, Halton's fourth penalty led to a quick Hamilton goal and their first of the game.  The teams would trade goals in the final five minutes as a Halton d-man rushed up the left wing to snipe one by the goalie before the Bulldogs would sneak one through the short side with only a minute left to play.

Final Score: Hurricanes win!  4-2
Total Shots: Halton: 19, Hamilton: 16

Game 2: Wednesday November 16th vs Guelph Gryphons

The next night back home at Sherwood Arena, the Hurricanes would take an early lead and set the tone for the game with a goal on a nice pass less than 4-minutes in.  Halton went up 2-0 with 11 seconds left in the first period as a right winger blocked a pass along the boards in the defensive zone to go the other way and start a series of passes leading to a tap-in from the right side of the Guelph net.

Under 3 minutes into the second period, the 'Canes extended their lead to 3-0 with all three Halton forwards buzzing around the crease.   A few minutes later, a Halton left winger danced through two defenders for a 4th goal followed shortly after by the right winger with a strong second effort to make the score 5-0.

Entering the third period, Guelph would get on the scoreboard with a rush up the right wing and a shot that found the twine on the far side of the goal.  29-seconds later, the Gryphons would make it 5-2 scoring from the left side of the crease.  That was as close as the game would get with a Halton defenceman rushing up the right side for the team's sixth goal.  Five minutes later, another goal came from the right wing and a shot to the blocker side for a 7-2 Hurricanes' lead.

With 6:38 left in the game, off-setting minors were called after some physical play in front of the Halton goalie and 10 seconds later, the 'Canes would answer back with goal number 8.  Guelph found the net once more on a puck that trickled through the 5-hole only for Halton to put their stamp on the game with two goals in the final minute of play.

Final Score: Hurricanes win again 10-3
Total Shots: Halton: 38, Guelph: 13
