The Beazer Report
After competing in the Toronto Titans Prospect Tournament Coach Mark Biesenthal, affectionately known as 'Beazer' shared some thoughts on his team and gave some good advice for his players.

Now that we have our first tournament under our belt, I thought it would be a good time to give some of my observations thus far.

I am extremely proud of the efforts and performance of all the players this past weekend, I saw a lot of positives that I would like to build upon during this season.

I believe we have a lot of talent on this team and I’d like to develop that talent even further this season and help the players move onto the next phase of their hockey career. In saying that, some of the things I would like boys to keep in mind are:

·         If you fail to plan, you plan to fail- Preparation is key, make sure you are

·         It’s okay to “Fail Forward”- You are going to make mistakes, that’s part of the game and life. What’s most important is that you learn from your mistakes and move forward with the knowledge you have acquired

·         Stay Healthy- keep up with your eating and fitness routine, make a schedule and use a buddy system to help you stick to your plan

·         Accept constructive criticism as positive- the coaching staff will provide you feedback throughout the season. We believe in your abilities and talents and want to take your skills to the next level.

·         Most importantly, have fun! These will be some of your best hockey years where you will make many great memories.

·         Don’t be afraid to talk to me. I know at time, I can get passionate about things but my hockey door is always open!
