Player Spotlight: Ethan James # 12
HH Minor Midget Player Spotlight is Ethan James #12 who plays forward.

Ethan, you are an Oakville Ranger alumni and now you are playing for Halton.  Did you find it hard to make the transition from Oakville to Halton?
No, not really it was pretty easy.

What was it like the first time facing Oakville with your Halton jersey on?
It was fun and was definitely different but I liked it.  We also beat them.

I have noticed you have great play without the puck.  It seems no matter who you are put out there with you seem to be able to know where to be and when to be there.  What is your secret?
I don’t really have a secret.  I rely on my instincts and I have good hockey sense.

Tell us 5 things about Ethan we do not know:
1.
I have 3 brothers.
2.
I played rep football.
3.
I used to play basketball.
4.
I have a pet fish with no name.
5.
I like science.

When I was preparing the questions to ask you, I realized how much of a man of mystery you really are.  So let’s try to find out a bit about Ethan James.

When it comes to hockey equipment, are you a Bauer, Reebok, Easton or Warrior kind of guy?
Actually, I like CCM.

Which do you love to shoot; the slap shot or the snap shot?
Snap shot

Leafs or Canadiens fan?
Canadiens

When scoring a goal do you prefer the big self celly or the big hug with your line?
The big hug.

How old were you when you started playing hockey?
I was 5 years old.

What animal best represents the way you play hockey and why?
The Cheetah because I am fast.

With the SCTA’s around the corner do you have any superstitions or rituals you do before big important games?
No I just go out and play the game.

If a teammate had to describe you as a hockey player, how would you hope he would describe you?
A good play maker that is fast with good hockey sense.

And your opponent?
I would say the same as my teammate would describe me but they would add that I am tough.

Norm Pitt wanted me to ask if your hockey does not take off what career or job would you choose and why?
I would have to say Sports Medicine because I would still be involved in sports and I find it interesting.
