Canes wrap up busy weekend
The Halton Hurricanes U11 AAA team had 2 tough games on the schedule this past weekend as they travelled to Welland on Saturday for a game against 1st place Southern Tier followed by a tough match against the Burlington Eagles at home on Sunday.
The Hurricanes started off with a bang on Saturday scoring 3 goals on their first 3 shots in the first period, working their way to a 4-1 win over the host Admirals.
Rory Parker, Callan Cabral (2) and Cal Reilly scored for the Hurricanes with Tyler Hickey, Parker, Nolan Lillicrap, Preston Sedlezky, and Anthony Terkalas adding assists.
Owen John was fantastic between the pipes for the victory.

On Sunday, the 'Canes again jumped out to an early lead against the Burlington Eagles. Hayden Cochren picked off a pass and scored on a breakaway 30 seconds in, Rory Parker and Preston Sedlezky also added first period tallies for another 3-0 first period lead. Cochren would score again, followed by James Del Duca and Tyler Hickey to round out the scoring.
Del Duca (2), Jake Janjevich, Callan Cabral, Anthony Terkalas, Cochren, Evan Meehan, & Hickey added assists.
Brayden Park was great again, with only 1 puck slipping by with 42 seconds to go breaking his shut out bid.

Next up is a road date with the Gryphons in Guelph on Tuesday with the team heading to Vaughan for a tourney this coming weekend.
The 'Canes will take on Chatham Kent and the Hamilton Huskies on Friday, and will face off against the host Vaughan Kings and the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs on Saturday.
