'Canes topple the Regals
The Halton Hurricanes Novice AAA team returned to action on Saturday as they hit the road to take on Buffalo in the front end of a home & home against the Regals.

Owen John drew the start between the pipes for this one, and the team took some time to get their legs going in this contest.

The 'Canes outshot the Regals 5-0 in a slow paced first period, with Halton taking a 1-0 lead into the intermission thanks to a Preston Sedledky goal 5:44 into the first frame. Assists went to Rory Parker and Willie Clahane on the 'Canes opening goal.

The Regals would respond just 43 seconds into the 2nd period tying the game at 1-1.

Shots on goal in the 2nd period were 5-4 for Halton, 10-4 overall.

The Hurricanes finally got going in the 3rd period with Nolan Lillicrap giving the visitors a 2-1 lead 1:51 in, beating 2 Regals defenders in a highlight reel solo effort.

Lillicrap then tallied another goal, (assisted by Anthony Terkalas) at 6:58 of the 3rd to stretch the lead to 3-1.

Colin Mayberry would add the final goal of the game, burying one on a nice end to end rush (assisted by Jake Janjevich) at 8:33 of the 3rd. The Hurricanes outshot the Regals 16-1 in the 3rd period and 26-5 overall in the game.

The Hurricanes move to 2-0-1 with the win and will take on the Regals tomorrow, in Georgetown at 4:15pm.

Northridge Electrical
Electricity is everywhere. We use it to power our homes, light our streets, increase visibility, etc. Although the ability to 'plug in' may be something we take for granted, it requires the special care of licensed electrical contractors to make that a possibility. We are committed to continually researching and implementing the latest sustainable technology available.
