On Wednesday April 17, the 20 Ontario Hockey League teams participated in the 2024 OHL U18 Selection Draft. The Halton Hurricanes U18 team had a tremendous season finishing 2nd in the division. Their team success led to individual success as well.Windsor Spitfires had the 1st overall pick in the U18 draft and with that selection chose Halton Goalie Michael Newlove.
