Game 3 Halton Wins 6-0
On Wednesday October 12, our home town heros took to the ice for their second game in two nights.

Dressed in blue, the Hurricanes prepared to face off against their yellow-clad rivals, the Hamilton Bulldogs.

The visitors started with some quick bursts of speed during the first two shifts before Halton would turn it on and shift the play to their offensive zone for much of the first period.  Just 2 minutes and 32 seconds into the game, the 'Canes opened the scoring to take a 1-0 lead.

Hamilton broke down the wings for a couple of mid-period rushes only to have 2 centering passes blocked by the defence in the slot without registering a shot on goal.  With just 48 seconds remaining, the home side took to the power play and 12 seconds later scored a goal off the draw, lifting their lead to 2-0 to end the period.

Less than 3 minutes into the second period it was the Bulldogs turn to play with the man advantage but to no avail as the goalie and team defence stood tall.  In a span of 3 minutes and 23 seconds, the Hurricanes tallied 3 straight goals and would close the second period up 5-0.

Entering the third period, the visiting side wouldn't give up as the play grew a bit more physical.  Yet Halton would not be denied, making some good zone entry passes and with 7 minutes left in the game, found the back of the net for a sixth time.  From that point on the team relied on their goalie to make a nice point blank save with his pads and turned away two more good chances including a nice glove save with 3:30 remaining to hold on for his first shutout since joining the team this year!

Final Score: 6-0 for the Hurricanes
